Volunteers needed Wednesday, May 9^th at 9:00 a.m. to help with the front entrance landscaping.

We will be removing mulch, sanding the concrete and hand rail and doing some painting. Thank you.

Hoop Shoot National Championship

Mary Crompton, representing Iowa City Lodge #590, placed in a tie for fifth at the Elks National Hoop Shoot Competition in the girls 12-13 age division this past weekend. She sank 21 of 25 foul shots in the finals. Mary won the local, district, state, and regional competitions on her way to the National Championships! Well done, Mary. We are ALL proud of you!

Jesse Taylor, representing Red Oak Lodge #1304, finished in a tie for seventh in the boys 12-13 division.

Hoop Shoot National Championships

Good luck to Mary Crompton who will be representing Iowa City Lodge #590 in the girls 12-13 age division of the Elk’s Hoop Shoot NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Saturday, April 28.

Another Iowan, Jesse Taylor, will be representing Red Oak Lodge #1304 in the boys 12-13 age division.

May Mary and Jesse find nothing but the bottom of the net this weekend! Good luck!

Spring Kickoff Dinner and Golf Tourney

There’s still time to sign up for the Spring Kickoff Golf Tourney and the Spring Kickoff Dinner this Saturday!! Here are the details:

Spring Kickoff Golf Tourney:

- Saturday April 21st

- 10am shotgun start

- 4 person best shot (A, B, C, D)

- $15 entry fee for full golf members ($30 for others)

Spring Kickoff Dinner:

- Saturday April 21st

- Drinks and appetizers start at 6pm (drink specials from 6-7pm)

- Dinner at 7pm

- Choice of Iowa Chop or Seafood Pasta for main entree

- $20 covers appetizers and dinner (cash bar)

Fundraising is a hugely important activity for any club, so as part of the dinner festivities we will be raffling off a beatuiful new Bridgestone golf bag along with a fabulous SeeMore putter (the kind Zach Johnson uses!!). We will also have an indoor putting contest with a 50/50 drawing (50% of the proceeds go to the winner, 50% to the Elks). And as is always the case upstairs at the Elks, there will be good music, good people, and good times deep into the night.

So whether you are a golf member, a pool member, or just a lodge member, come on out Saturday evening and check out the NEW LOOK dining room and enjoy a great meal and great fun at the Spring Kickoff Dinner!! Call today (319-351-3700), or stop out to sign up for the golf tourney and/or the dinner.
